Support Rogers PTA … Connecting Family and School

 

Welcome back Mustangs!  Looking for a great way to be informed and to advocate for your child? Join Rogers’ PTA! Joining does not obligate you to attend meetings or to volunteer. But, the meetings offer an opportunity to meet other families, teachers and staff, plus hear updates from our Rogers principal and great guest speakers.

This year, we will be hosting five PTA association meetings, as shown:

  • Thursday, September 30, 2021, 6 pm (via Zoom)
  • Tuesday, November 16, 2021, 9:15 am
  • Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 6 pm
  • Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 9:15 am
  • Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 6 pm

What Does Rogers PTA Do?  PTA provides funding for classroom and school enhancements that LBUSD no longer provides. The PTA has purchased Chromebooks for classrooms and new PE equipment, and typically funds computer resources, the WEB program, grade level field trips, student clubs, 8th grade promotion activities and activity days for the students. Our goal for the 2021-22 school year is to continue to support our teachers and students with programs for curriculum enrichment and enhancements for our culture and climate. How to Become a Rogers PTA Member!  Join online via the PTA’s safe online portal by clicking here. Memberships are just $10 per person (plus a $1 fee per membership).  Each membership is good for the current school year only, so if you have joined PTA in a previous year you will need to join again. There is an opportunity to set up auto-renew – if you do NOT wish to auto-renew please toggle that option to NO.

You can also make a gift donation, 100% of which goes directly to supporting Rogers.

Rogers PTA is also accepting additional donations along with memberships in the same transaction … just follow the “add a donation” green button on TOTEM.  

Great Incentives for Joining by October 31 – Our Goal is for 100% Participation!

  • Any student who becomes a member (or returns a membership) will be entered into a drawing for a $50 AMC gift card.
  • Any student who returns 4 or more memberships will be entered into a drawing for a “Front of the Line” pass to be used at lunch AND all Rogers student activity days for the entire 2021-2022 school year! 
  • Any 8th Grade student who becomes a member (or returns a membership) will be entered into a drawing for 4 reserved front row seats at 8th Grade Promotion!
  • AND . . . the first period class with the highest percentage of memberships will receive an in-class party!

How are Dues Allocated? Nearly 50% of your membership dues go directly to the Rogers PTA budget to help pay for expenses this school year. Did you know the PTA is the oldest and largest child advocacy association in America? The remainder of your dues goes to support the Long Beach Council PTA, the 33rd District PTA, and our state and national PTAs for their hard work on behalf of all students and schools.
